Version 9.01

Bug fix:  Problem storing birthdate on daily patient list.  Also enhanced the keyboard short cut to allow date input as well as numeric ages

Bug fix:  Repair databases didn’t always work correctly

Bug fix: Apostrophe in referring doctor’s name would prevent proper print out of cover letters

Bug fix:  Installation disk left out one file:  MSCOMCTL.OCX.  If you had that file already on your computer, there was no problem.  If you did not have the file, the transcribe program would not load.

Support for ViewPad screen resolution of 1024x600

Version 9.03

Bug Fix:  Referring doctors, questions and some custom items are not being read properly from the server

Bug Fix:  Age greater than 97 would cause overflow error.  Bug corrected.

Bug Fix/Enhancement:  On preop module, if you selected retrieve previous history and no prior history was found, the previous history window would still show up and require you to exit manually.  This has been fixed.

Bug fix:  Sometimes a wireless network will not automatically update the patient list due to a temporary slowdown in the wireless network.  Previously, this would result in a program error that would shut down the program.  This condition is now handled more gracefully with no more program shut downs. A button to manually update the patient list was added which is useful also when at the server and you want to make sure you can see the recently “partially saved” records are on the list.

Version 9.04

Bug fix: When going to satellite office and disconnecting from the network, the files would be transferred back to the server upon return but not the wave files.  This was corrected.

Added ability to ALT-TAB out of main program screen (screen with list of patients).

Bug fix:  When going to satellite office and disconnecting from the network, sometimes with Windows XP, you will get a “Bad file name or number” error instead of the expected message notifying you that you are now storing records on the local hard drive.  This portion of the code was re-written to avoid this bug.

Added ability to map network drive to a subfolder instead of the root drive of the server.

Review Program Enhanced:  Zoom feature added for viewing images.  This is useful if the scanned image is somewhat unclear and hard to read.

Bug Fix:  First name with an apostrophe would sometimes cause previous visit information not to be retrieved correctly.

Nuisance Fix:  After saving, deleting or partially saving a record, the title bar in the upper left corner that formerly displayed the patient’s name would disappear, revealing the underlying desktop and any icons located on the desktop.  This has been corrected so that the title bar will not disappear.

Bug Fix:  Starting with version 9.0 of the program, depending of which version of Windows is being used, sometimes the main text box would not scroll correctly.  Once the page became full, you would have to use the Full Page button to see the text you recently entered.  This problem has been fixed.

REVIEW PRGRAM: Bug fix: When saving a scanned image, the “description” field would be saved in the “result” field.

Bug Fix:  Using Medications with When information would occasionally crash program in the PreOp, FollowUp, and Cancer FollowUp modules.  This has been fixed.

Manual vs. Automatic update of patient list – this helps with wireless networks to do not update fast enough and generate errors

Review program extensively revised to improve handling of images.  Now images can be saved multiple times for doctor review or staff review, similar to phone message.. Also, a few bug related to image saving were corrected.

Version 10.00 - 2003

Bug Fix:  On opening form, selecting an existing patient with a birth date, then choosing CLEAR ITEM, the birth date field would not be erased.  This bug has been corrected.

Bug Fix: When entering a birth date of a child under 1 year of age, sometimes the age would translate into years instead of months.  This was corrected.  Also added feature for infants less than one month of age to be called a “fifteen day old male” for example.

Bug fix: when retrieving history during a preop, sometimes the visits would not appear in chronological order and could not be inserted into the preop history.  This bug was corrected.

Version 10.03

Bug fix:  Custom information that should be up to 240 characters was limited to 20 characters.  This bug was fixed.

Bug fix:  On screen keyboard did not work with review records.  This bug was fixed.

Bug fix:  Deleting a custom item in the history module that had an apostrophe would sometimes not work.  This bug was fixed.

Version 10.04

Allowed installation into directory other than c:\dictate\data, etc.

Bug Fix:  item is impression module – diagnoses – other – custom were not in alphabetical order.  This bug was fixed.

Print birthdates on the page when printing records

Version 11.00

Bug Fix:  Putting second office address in for printing referral letters would not save properly between program sessions.  This bug was fixed.

Bug Fix:  Buttons on lower left of screen sometimes overlapped either the text box or the Windows task bar.  This bug was fixed.

Bug Fix:  If you entered a custom item in the past medical history then later entered a custom item in plan, sometimes the custom item from the past medical history would appear a second time.  This bug was fixed.

Ability to print partially completed records added.  This feature can be used if the nurse has done a visit record and wants to doctor to review it before saving.  With this feature, the doctor can look over a hard copy of the report instead of having to deal with the computer screen.

Bug Fix:  Print by date would also list error reports.  These would be the items marked as a single comma, instead of a first and last name.  This bug was corrected.

Ability to select all the records or clear all the records on the patient list in Print By Date was added.

Added ability to add a new referring doctor from the opening screen, instead of just the update screen or the plan screen.

Bug fix in Review program.  If you had more than 32,000 records, you would get an overflow error.  This bug was corrected.

Added ability to record sound files in high quality 16 bit sound.  If the default sound files are of low quality and hard to understand, you may now record in a higher quality format.  The sound files however, will be quite a bit larger.

Bug fix:  If you did an abnormal neck exam and only described abnormal lymph node findings and then click on Complete Brief Exam or Complete Full Exam, the normal neck phrase would appear again.  This bug was corrected.

Added ability to only specify a portion of an examination item and have a single button to complete the rest of the examination.  For example, you could say that the right TM was inflamed and press a single button that would automatically fill in default normal text for the left TM as well as both ear canals and both pinnas.    All of the subpart text is customizable as well as which sub parts to include when you are “finishing” an exam item.

Review program extensively modified with multiple enhancements designed to make the program appropriate for completely electronic records.
